Another hot sunny day. It is still very nice to eat outside on the terrace even in the heat. It is quite protected from the sun on the West side of the house; and there is the garden to look out on.
Today there will be a party with close friends coming – Ibi and Feri, Baby(pronounced Bobby) and Gyuri. Ibi had broken her ankle and had an operation on the leg; it was in a cast and she had to move around with a walker, however, she put forward a great effect to be there.
I was able to talk with everyone and be understood even in my poor Hungarian. They did say that I spoke much better though, maybe. It is the verb endings that are difficult for me. Short sentences with intransitive verbs are much easier... I am, you are, he is etc.
There is a generous amount of beer, wine, cocktails, and Pezsgo (Hungarian Champagne).. the corks fly into the neighbours yard. Jansci, our host, bar-b-qed some delicious pork in the garden and we ate it with boiled potato and tetzeki sauce... it was very tasty.
We all had a few dips in the pool to keep cool in between food and drink.
Feri and Baby both had a little sleep in chairs; it was funny. The weather promises to change tomorrow with a cold front and rain coming in. The party ended at 9 pm. Nancy had a good sleep and I did too except for the dog across the road who decided to bark at another dog passing by at midnight(I think), otherwise it was very quiet.
